A Sunny Winter Engagement Session in Leavenworth | Seattle Wedding Photographer
I hadn’t been up to the Leavenworth area yet this winter surprisingly enough because it’s one of my favorite locations! I usually avoid the actual town of Leavenworth for shoots because it’s a seriously busy tourist location, especially in the winter! I headed out on the road fairly early because although it’s only a 2 hour drive up there, it was the day before New Years Eve and it’s common for people to head up to Stevens Pass to go snowboarding, especially on holiday weekends! Although we drove separate up there, we both got stuck in horrible traffic going right over Stevens Pass! Yikes! But we eventually did make it!
I couldn’t believe the gorgeous weather that we had that day! It was clear blue skies and it made the beautiful snow sparkle everywhere. There is nothing more gorgeous than snow with the sun and these engagement pictures truly shines. Mitchell & Cassidy are the sweetest! These two love birds DID have professional pictures done before down in California where Mitchell is stationed for the Military, so they already knew the drill! They endured the freezing cold for these images and I am so glad that they did! By the end of our session, poor Cassidy looked like her hands were going to fall off! But hey, you do it for the pictures right?!
These two are tying the knot at Lord Hill Farms in Snohomish this coming summer! I actually got married two years ago at Lord Hill Farms so I’m so incredibly excited to shoot this wedding! I love going back there to photograph weddings because it brings back so many wonderful memories. I can’t wait to see what these two do with the place! Here are some favorites from their session!
