A Beautiful Snowy Engagement Session at Gold Creek Pond | Seattle Wedding Photographer
Gold Creek Pond has become one of my favorite go-to locations when it comes to photographing gorgeous snowy engagements! The perfect tree lined trail, the gorgeous mountain scenery, and of course, the snow covered lake is absolute perfection! So I was super excited when Chance and Gracia decided on that location for their engagement session!
Gracia & I have been in contact for MONTHS about her wedding. Both her and Chance attend school in Arizona and are super limited to when they come home. I was able to finally meet her over Thanksgiving break and chat about her special day! She told me on the spot that she wanted to book me and I was so excited! We then started chatting about photographing their engagement session over winter break when they were here for Christmas. Our window of time was short because Chance is from California and had to go visit his family, but we fit everything in and it worked out perfectly!
We arrived to the Gold Creek Pond snowshoe trail-head and the weather conditions were kind of odd – it wasn’t quite snowing but it was almost this half hail/half snow falling from the sky. But from the get-go, these two were amazing to photograph! They were nothing but laughter and smiles (and even a crazy snowball fight!). And despite basically being soaked and frozen by the end of their session, they actually opted to lay down on a blanket in the snow! Those are my kind of people – doing whatever it takes to get the shot, ha! Their session just made me even more excited to photograph their wedding this summer! These two are tying the knot at Swans Trail Farms in Snohomish next year and I couldn’t be more excited! Here are some favorites from their session!
