Anniversary sessions are becoming an absolute favorite of mine to photograph. So being contacted for an anniversary session by Taylor was so exciting! The Hoh Rainforest in the Olympic National Forest was her dream spot, so how could I say no?! Although it was a three hour drive from where I’m located, it was worth every second!
When we arrived, we were so excited because there was still some snow on the ground. Honestly, it doesn’t snow much where I’m located in the greater Seattle area so being able to shoot in the snow is always a bit of a treat! Being from the Pacific Northwest, seeing moss on trees isn’t something uncommon. Realistically, EVERYTHING is green. However, I had never seen moss on trees like this! It was such a beautiful mixture with the snow. Taylor ended up renting a gown from Rent the Runway and purchased a custom bouquet from my favorite florist, Floral Mountains, and it absolutely stood out in the mossy green forest!
Colton and Taylor have been married for six years now and have a BEAUTIFUL little boy together! They were absolutely effortless in front of the camera. Taylor actually models so she was such a stunner in front of the camera (and I full intend to photograph her again!). Colton was such a trooper doing this session for his lady! I know that sometimes men don’t understand our draw to having photographs taken of ourselves, but it’s always so sweet to see these awesome husbands do it for their special lady! It was so awesome spending time with them and learning about their story and how they’ve made it to where they are now – that’s my favorite thing is learning all about my clients!
