A Snowy Winter Elopement at Trillium Lake | Seattle Wedding Photographer
To say that Mitchell & Chelsea are a dream is a complete understatement! This wedding was EVERYTHING I could’ve ever dreamed of for a winter elopement. Nestled in the woods next to Trillium Lake, I witnessed and photographed these two lovebirds say their vows to each other in front of just their close friends and family. Chelsea is a photographer herself and that’s just something that we, as photographers, always get a little nervous about. Do they trust me? Am I what they were looking for? Am I doing my best? Those are some of the questions that ran through my mind on the drive there. But it’s one of those things that you just have to put in the back of your mind so you can focus on doing your job!
I was linked up with these two for our mutual friend so we traveled down and stayed in an AirBnb in Portland the night before. If you’ve never used Airbnb, I highly recommend using it! I’ve had such great experiences with them! I woke up the morning of the wedding to go pickup the florals that were provided by Tribes N Pines (so if you’re in Portland, OR and looking for a florist, please use this talented lady!!). We then spent the next few hours getting ready and preparing for the snowy road ahead! The conditions were much more snowy than we expected (Thank goodness for All Wheel Drive!!!) but we made it safely. I have to say that it was absolutely FREEZING but these two are such troopers and made it through the day in their wedding attire! I’m so in love with all of these images.
