It’s really been such a whirlwind these past couple months. If I’m being truthful, I’ve never expected to go through a pandemic in my lifetime. It’s been interesting to navigate with weddings but I’m thankful that I have amazing clients that are willing to get creative! Danny & Brittany were originally supposed to get married in Washington. But due to pandemic rules, they adjusted their plans to have an intimate wedding at a family friend’s cabin on Hayden Lake in Idaho. And it was perfect in every way!
It was my first time vising Coeur D’Alene. It was such a nice getaway for my husband and I after being cooped up in the house for a couple months. The forecast originally called for rain, but there wasn’t a drop of rain to be seen the entire day. I honestly love photographing intimate weddings because it’s so relaxed. While of course we stick to a timeline, there’s less pressure for everything to be perfectly on-time. Photographing Danny & Brittany is always so easy. They have such a natural love that can’t be explained over words. The way Danny looks at Brittany is the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen. Danny explained to me that when he asked Brittany to be his girlfriend years ago, he gave her a single rose. He continued this tradition by gifting her a single white rose at their first look. It was so sentimental and sweet.
My favorite part of the day was getting to go on the boat! The sun came out just for us as we boarded and we got to go on a little boating adventure together. I honestly don’t have any words to describe how amazing it was! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. MacDonald!
