Photographing people I knew from high school is one of my FAVORITE types of weddings I get to photograph! I knew Andrew & Vivian back in high school and it was such an honor to be asked to photograph both their engagement photos & wedding photos! These two were married at the Plymouth Congregational Church in downtown Seattle and then held their reception at The Foundry by Herban Feast! The day started off cloudy and the weather forecast predicted NO rain. But it was January in Washington State. So, of course it rained. Luckily, with a little flexibility, we made it work! It was perfect because there was a park directly across the street from the church where we were able to photograph all their formal photos! My favorite part was that there were twinkle lights still left in the park from the holiday season. It made the perfect touch by adding a little sparkle in the back of the photos!
Something that is so obvious when you meet Andrew & Vivian is how much they love each other. The way Andrew looks at Vivian is so heart-warming and you can tell he just adores her. I could tell that the second after they did their “first look”, they were both so at ease and ready to take on the day! They’re truly each other’s best friends. There is nothing that made me happier than to be able to capture that! I also had the best time because they had the BEST wedding party! They were definitely so excited to be there celebrating with them! It was so much fun for me on a personal level, too, because I got to see SO many of my high school friends at the reception! My job was made even more fun! The Foundry by Herban Feast was gorgeous with all of the touches that Vivian had thought of through her planning. It was classic, romantic, and beautiful. It truly was such a beautiful day and I’m so excited to share some of my favorite photos! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Lambert!
