I talk a lot about Washington’s unpredictable weather. However, August is often our most predictable month where one can expect warm weather and sunny skies. But, mother nature decided to throw us a curve-ball for Blaine & Jasmine’s wedding. Their day started off overcast with a comfortable temperature at Craven Farm. The weather forecast was not exactly ideal and we were hoping it would just hold up for us and so far, it had! But, around 1:00pm, we received some of the heaviest rain showers I have EVER experienced on a wedding day. I was praying that it would just stop even for 15 minutes just for us to move forward with formal photos! We held off for about 20 minutes and thankfully, the rain did stop! We continued on with their formal photos with only little spurts of rain.
Blaine & Jasmine are an extraordinary couple who remained calm and positive the entire day. Every time I would check in on how Jasmine was feeling, she would respond with “I’m great! I’m getting married today!”. I couldn’t have been more thankful for the positivity that the both of them as well as their friends & family shared. Their day continued on perfectly and exactly as it was meant to, ending with an incredible sunset overlooking the nearby flower field. I am so in love with how the photos turned out. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Wilson!
