Daniel & Kaitlyn’s Rustic Backyard Wedding in Visalia, California
Sometimes I have to pinch myself because I have such an amazing job! For Daniel & Kaitlyn’s wedding, I had the opportunity to travel to Visalia, California to photograph their rustic backyard wedding. Kaitlyn was a bridesmaid in Chance & Gracia’s wedding that I photographed in the summer of 2017. She had emailed me regarding photographing her engagement photos in the winter and we eventually locked down that I would be photographing her wedding, too! And trust me, it was one for the books!
Traveling to California seemed to work out perfectly. One of my close friend’s parents live in Merced, California – about 1.5 hours away from Visalia. It worked out perfectly as making long drives for wedding isn’t uncommon! As much as I love Washington State, something I can appreciate about California is that the weather is fairly predictable. The morning of the wedding, I woke up to warm temperatures and clear skies and made my way down to their wedding!
Upon arrival, I was in absolute awe of the property! Daniel’s Uncle and his family were kind enough to offer their backyard for the big day. The landscaping was incredible and made for the perfect wedding portraits. Both Daniel & Kaitlyn were all smiles the entire day – it warmed my heart. The love that surrounded them that day was indescribable. They have an incredible group of family and friends! Kaitlyn also was very photo-oriented! Anytime I had an idea, she was immediately excited to do it. It made for absolutely stunning images!
