Stuart & Karissa’s Sunset Engagement Session at Golden Gardens

I’m so excited to share this engagement session from last week! Stuart & Karissa are such a dream to work with. When I originally met with them, Karissa had been hoping for their engagement photos to have cherry blossoms so when spring started to FINALLY bloom (a little bit late, I might add), we were so excited to finally get something scheduled!

In the greater Seattle area, when you think of “Cherry Blossoms”, the quad at the University of Washington is one of the first places to come to mind. That’s because of the HUGE cherry blossom trees that grow there! And it’s seriously gorgeous! So we had established that we would meet there on one of the few sunny afternoons that we had. However, none of us ever imagined it would be as BUSY as it was! Seriously, there were people EVERYWHERE. I figured that it would be fairly busy as the cherry blossoms are considered a bit of a “tourist” attraction, however, the amount of people that were all shoved into the quad was insane! We were lucky enough to find a little spot over in a corner to get some adorable photos of these two without too many people in the background! After the cherry blossom adventure, we headed over to Golden Gardens and I learned that these two love boats! So Golden Gardens was a perfect choice for them. It had started to get cloudy so I was a little worried that we wouldn’t have much of a sunset, but I was wrong because we had some gorgeous colors!

Stuart and Karissa kept me laughing and were an overall joy to work with! Their engagement session made me even more excited to photograph their winter wedding at Suncadia this December (I’m REALLY excited!). Here are some of my favorites from their session!
