You guys… I am so excited to share my FIRST wedding of 2017! And the best part? Their wedding is blogged only TWO days after their wedding! I have done a lot of research as far as blogging and marketing goes and have come to the conclusion that I would love nothing more than to be able to share a full highlight post for my clients within the first week after their wedding! I’m loving doing it already!
For starters, before this wedding, I hadn’t photographed a wedding in two months. I was so happy to have the down time through the busy holiday season, but I was also craving to get back to my favorite thing! As I was seriously looking forward to this wedding, I was totally nervous, too! I was terrified that I had forgotten everything in those two months! Such a silly thought… But I think it’s normal when you go from shooting a wedding every weekend in the summer to having them more broken up through the off-season. Regardless, this wedding turned out to be AMAZING.
Mitchell & AnnaLea are truly a match made in heaven. They originally met through a friend and then oddly enough, reconnected in an online dating site. Fate? Totally! We started our day at the Hotel Ballard photographing the girls finishing their getting ready process. I will never forget how AnnaLea greeted me when I walked in – she was so excited and yelled “I’m SO EXCITED YOU’RE HERE!” Now, don’t get me wrong, usually my brides are super excited to start the photo process, but AnnaLea had such a fun energy and I knew it was going to be a great day! And it WAS!
We were SO lucky to have such a beautiful day. It had rained all week and we had back up plans set in motion for if it decided to rain. But, nope, not only did it not rain, it was SUNNY out! Totally a dream come true. And with the nice weather, we were able to photograph their First Look on the rooftop of the Hotel Ballard and that was AMAZING. Throughout the rest of their portraits, they displayed nothing but excitement and joy!
The rest of their wedding was still filled with the immense joy that these two had going into their special day – being that this wedding had a smaller guest list, it was so wonderful to really see that every single guest was truly there for THEM. It was an honor to be there for such incredible moments. After the beautiful ceremony officiated by AnnaLea’s brother (who did an amazing job!), the rest of the evening was filled with delicious food, heartfelt and hilarious stories for the toasts, and A LOT (and I mean ALOT) of dancing! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Kotlik! Being apart of your day was nothing but amazing!
A sweet moment with mom..
She was so excited to be getting married!!
