Thomas & Katie’s Spring Engagement Session at The Washington Park Arboretum

Thomas & Katie were my first couple to book me for a 2019 wedding! Since the booked so far in advance, they had the opportunity to book any season from this next year and they chose spring! We settled on The Washington Park Arboretum because of how beautiful it is. The Washington Park Arboretum is one of my favorite places for sessions, especially during the spring. The abundance of flowers and trees create such a whimsical feel to every image.

Thomas and Katie were so wonderful to work with. I loved hearing all about their plans for their wedding next summer! The first thing I noticed about them is how great of friends they are. I think it’s so important to have a strong friendship with your partner and these two definitely have that! They have been together since high school – which by the way, we went to the same high school and graduated the same year! It’s always such an honor to photograph people I went to high school with on their newest adventure of marriage! Getting to know them and photograph their love was such a pleasure!
