Andrew & Sarah’s Rainy Beach Engagement Session at Golden Gardens

I hate to complain but man, I am SICK of the rain! Based on what I’ve read, Seattle has received the same amount of rain that we get in a YEAR in just FOUR months!!! Yep, you heard that right – FOUR months! But luckily for me, I have some seriously awesome clients! We already had rescheduled Andrew & Sara’s engagement session once before due to the rain, but we mutually agreed that it was the best decision to just go forward with a “mini” engagement session so they could send out their Save-the-Dates and we will just get together next summer!

I photographed Sarah’s brothers wedding a couple years ago and was so excited when she contacted me about HER wedding! When we met up for coffee to chat, I knew that I liked these two and that we were going to become great friends! We started our session at Golden Gardens and yes – you guessed it. It was POURING. Usually in Washington fashion, it will rain for a bit, and then let up. It’s not super common to just downpour all day for days on end. But that’s what we were dealing with so we made it work! I brought my super cute bubble umbrella which was a great addition to the photos but also kept them dry! These two are so easy going – we punched this session out in about 25 minutes! I did my best to move quickly so we could still get some great shots for them to choose from for their save-the-dates, but also so they didn’t get totally soaked! I am super excited about the outcome and after working with them, I’m even more excited for their wedding this coming September! 🙂
