I knew that 2020 was going to be an amazing year, but I never thought my first wedding of 2020 would be THIS good! Matt & Annie’s winter wedding at Mountain Springs Lodge was stunning. Mountain Springs Lodge is a beautiful venue nestled nearby Leavenworth, Washington. It embraces the log cabin feel and they even offer sleigh rides in the winter, too!
I had been looking forward to this wedding because the second I received an email from Annie, I knew we would be great friends. When we initially met at Starbucks, we talked for nearly two hours because we clicked so well. I’ve photographed at Mountain Springs Lodge twice before and was thrilled to be able to photograph another wedding there again. The day of the wedding was absolutely flawless. Everything was so excited and in good spirits. The “first look” was photographed and then headed off to Lake Wenatchee to get some beautiful portraits of the lake and mountain in the background. However, none of us anticipated how windy and freezing it was going to be! But, Matt & Annie powered through and were such troopers!
The rest of the day went flawlessly. It didn’t snow at all until the second the ceremony started. It was just meant to be! Also, we made sure to take advantage of the snow as it was getting dark to photograph some of epic night portraits of these two with the snow falling. They ended up being my favorite portraits of the day! This day was amazing and I’m so excited to share these photos!
