My favorite thing about Washington is the large amounts of variety we have in scenery! One weekend, I’ll be photographing in the mountains. The next weekend, the beach! Isaac & JayLee’s beautiful wedding took place at a private residence in Stanwood near Kayak Point. It was one of the most beautiful views I have seen!
The day started off at the house the girls were getting ready at. JayLee was already done getting ready so she watched me photograph all of her details and was SO in to it. She kept saying things like “Oh, I LOVE that!” and it just made me so happy! She loves details just as much as I do! We met over at the wedding location near Kayak Point to get JayLee into her dress and then headed down to the beach. The best part about this residence was that they had a “tram” that takes you down to the beach. If they didn’t have it, it would be a serious trek! All of their portraits were taken on the beach as well as their wedding party & family photos. It just felt so fitting to their wedding to do them there!
Their ceremony overlooked an incredible view of the water. Everything was so blue and little boats kept floating by. The ceremony was beautiful and so sweet. The rest of their reception was such a blast! Everyone was so happy & danced the majority of the time! My favorite part was the hot sauce challenge. They had two jars, one for JayLee & one for Isaac. The guests had the option of putting money into the jar that stood for whomever they chose. At the end of the night, the jar with the most money had to eat a spoonful of hot sauce! If I recall, Isaac’s jar had over $300. He courageously ate a spoonful of hot sauce at the end of the evening!
I think my favorite thing about these two is their connection. When I photographed their engagement session, that was the first thing that I noticed! They are so full of such love and joy. I’m so happy to have been apart of their big day! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Johnson!
